The Lopez family, consisting of Al, Dina, and their children Francisco and Monica, established Bacchus Landing with the aim to offer a warm and inviting space where guests can enjoy unforgettable wine experiences reminiscent of the family’s cherished Sunday gatherings. Their journey into winemaking began when they moved to Sonoma County in 1998 and Al, fueled by his entrepreneurial drive, studied viticulture and planted a Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard. This endeavor evolved into the creation of their own family label, Aldina Vineyards, in 2012. Recognizing the challenges boutique wineries face in attracting visitors, the Lopezes were inspired to create Bacchus Landing — a destination that echoes their passion for community, excellent wine, and the joy of sharing both with family and friends.
