Smith Story Wine Cellars, based in Sonoma County, California, is the labor of love for Eric and Alison, who bring their combined 40+ years in the wine industry to the venture. Born out of their shared passion for wines during their tenure at K&L Wine Merchants, the couple founded the winery after eloping in Hawaii in 2013. Eric’s expertise lies in wine buying and retail management, specifically in European wines, while Ali excels in hospitality, marketing, and sales, providing a complete wine-supply-chain approach. Respect for the land and love for winemaking guide their philosophy, as they utilize old world techniques in creating balanced and expressive wines from family-owned vineyards.
